The Great Treaty of Canandaiqua 1794. This treaty recognizes the sovereignty of the Haudenosaunee (Six Nations) and the United States as well as establishes in writing that the aboriginal lands belonging to the Haudenosaunee are theirs. This treaty has held in the face of challenge, and will remain a valid document til the end of time.
